Each year, graduating students from our area High Schools apply and compete for scholarships funded by the Silverton Elks Youth Fund. Participating High Schools are: Silverton High, J.F. Kennedy High (Mt Angel), Stayton High, Regis High in Stayton and Santiam High in Mill City.

This year we awarded a $1,000.00 scholarshiop to a young lady from Silverton High School and one to a young man from KFK High School in Mt. Angel

(both students won at the District level, and then placed 3rd and 4th resfectfully at State, moving them on to the National level contest. At this point, we're waiting to hear how they did there)

We also awarded $600.00 scholarships to 8 other deserving students:

2 from JFK High School in Mt. Angel

2 from Silverton High School

2 from Regis High School in Stayton

1 from Santiam High School in Mill City

1 from Stayton High School
