Having trouble getting the on-line version of the Elk Tracks to come up for viewing? Hopefully, these instructions will help. First and foremost, you will need a program called Adobe Acrobat Reader on your computer. If you don't have it, it's very easily obtained. Just click here
(you'll see the little "get Acorbat Reader" icon on the left
side of the page that comes up. Click on it and download the program -
it's free! And that's a very good price!)
Now then - after you have Adobe Reader on your computer, the Elk Tracks "should" just come right up when you double click on the icon of the issue you want to read. If it doesn't - you may have to follow the next steps.
1. "Click" on the issue you want to read, noted above It should come right up. (It may take a little to load if you are on a 56k modem) - but it should load and come up on your screen. If it doesn't - if a window opens, asking you to "save this file to disk" (or) "open this file from its current location - do the following.
2. CHOOSE "SAVE THIS FILE TO DISK". If you are not familiar with downloading files, your next step is to choose a directory to save this to, or you may want to simply save it to "my documents" or "my files" or "desktop". When downloading has completed, just "click" on "close". Do not choose the option to "open file"
3. Once you have saved the file, the next step is to open "Adobe Acrobat" or Adobe Reader". "Reader" usually comes packaged on your computer. If you do not have this software, you may obtain it for FREE by clicking on the link for Adobe as noted above.
4. Once you have opened "Acrobat", or "Reader", simply open the file you saved that contains the issue of the Elk Tracks you want to read. That should produce the Elk Tracks on your screen.
